Overview

Introduction

This programme is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the business and commercial environment. The programme offers an applied appreciation of core business disciplines such as accounting, economics, management, marketing and business statistics, with a particular emphasis on knowledge and skills that are necessary for students.

Progression Pathway

Possible programme completion in 16 months.

Full-Time pathway:

Upon successful completion of the Diploma programme, graduates can advance directly into Year 2 of the following programmes:

  • The University of Newcastle
    • Bachelor of Business with Major in: - Entrepreneurship & Innovation - International Business - Leadership & Management and Marketing
    • Bachelor of Commerce with Major in Accounting
  • University of Wollongong
    • Bachelor of Commerce (Management and Marketing)
  • Coventry University
    • Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business and
    • Marketing Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business and Finance 

Part-Time pathway:

Upon successful completion of the Diploma programme, graduates can advance directly into Year 2 of the following programmes:

  • University of Wollongong
    • Bachelor of Commerce (Management)
      • Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing)
  • Coventry University
    • Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business and Marketing
    • Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business and Finance

Graduates can also advance directly into Year 3 of Bachelor of Arts in Business Management (Top-up) awarded by Edinburgh Napier University.

Programme Structure

Programme Duration

The programme can be completed within 12 months for both full-time pathway and part-time pathway.

Programme Structure

This programme consists of 8 modules, amounting to a total of 320 contact hours for the full-time pathway and 240 contact hours for the part-time pathway.


Assessment and Examination

Assessment of this programme may include assignments, tests, projects and final examinations.

Admission Requirements

The minimum entry requirements are:

  • 2 GCE 'A' Levels; OR
  • PSB Certificate in Business Management; OR
  • Mature candidates (≥30 years old with 8 years work experience); OR
  • Candidates with other qualifications will be considered as case-by-case basis
