Finding a place to study is harder than it sounds as there are several factors to consider. After all, there’s only so many places that have AC, Wi-Fi and good places to eat. Luckily for you, we have curated a list for your study needs.
1) Public Library
Of course, you can’t say studying without thinking of the library. Not only is it available during all days of the week, it also houses a large array of books. Set within an enclosed and fully air-conditioned area, the library is certainly a peaceful and quiet place for you to focus on your work.
Study tip: Be sure to head there early as the seats can be limited.
Public libraries near City Campus: Library@Esplanade, National Library (near Bugis), Library@Orchard (within orchardgateway).
Public library near STEM Campus: Toa Payoh Public Library.
2) Coffee Shops or Cafés
Never start a study session on an empty stomach. You’re most likely to retain more information on a full belly rather than an empty one and it’s fortunate that cafés are now heeding to the hungry student’s call. It is common for cafés to be equipped with free sockets for patrons to use while enjoying their cup of coffee, and with the free Wi-Fi, cafés are now a common place for students to study and eat.
If you’re finding a place to study near City Campus, we highly suggest dal.komm COFFEE at Marina Square (#02-272/273 & 278). Other alternatives include Starbucks or Coffee Bean.
Study tip: Be considerate to the other patrons and café staff while studying at the establishment.
3) Study Rooms at City and STEM Campus
If after a while you start to feel nostalgic, there’s nothing wrong with heading back to campus to study. After all, the school campus was designed to cater for your study sessions.
There are ample tables and you need not worry about feeling hot as the campus never fails to give you the shivers. There are also several food places nearby to satisfy your hunger. It is without a doubt that the campus is the most conducive place to study.
Study tip: Remember to bring along your trusty jacket!
Everyone has their own preference when it comes to a conducive study place. But rest assured that there are numerous options around PSB Academy’s centrally-located campuses. Whether it’s Marina Square or Jackson Square (Toa Payoh), there’s always somewhere ideal to study!
