Before embarking on her postgraduate studies, Choo Ngan Hoe did not expect her student life to be as colorful as it turned out to be. Choo, as her classmates know her by, was pleasantly surprised at how interactive and engaging her postgraduate curriculum turned out to be. She shared “a Master of Science in Engineering Business Management not only broadened my skillsets and knowledge, I have also evolved into a more well-rounded professional, with thanks to my fellow classmates”. She admits that the presence of fellow like-minded classmates transformed her postgraduate life in more ways than she imagined.
As an introverted individual, Choo also shares that the helpful and friendly lecturers helped her come out of her shell, which changed her postgraduate life for the better. Active participation can maximize learning experiences and it allows fellow students to engage with the course. Choo recalls that insights from her classmates were always the highlight of any lesson, as they provide a fresh perspective, which has come in handy to Choo’s professional life on multiple occasions! The spirit and energy that her classmates added to her postgraduate curriculum was a strong push factor in ensuring that Choo successfully graduated with a Master of Science in Engineering Business Management. For Choo, she found that blocking off time for studies and work helps her clear the mental space that she needs to focus. She recommends her approach as it creates for a structured, distraction-free routine that makes it easier for students to juggle school and work.
Although the coronavirus has changed how classes work, postgraduate programmes offered at PSB Academy is committed to delivering the same level of rigor, but with greater flexibility to graduate students balancing studies with their professional schedules. In PSB Academy, blended learning has been the approach for our postgraduate students, even before the pandemic. Despite such strong institutional support, blended learning can still take some getting used to, especially for postgraduate students. But fret not, our lecturers and administrative staff are always around to help you adjust to this new normal.
