PSB Academy’s smooth transition from Diploma, including module exemptions, offered a straightforward pathway for my academic progression towards a Bachelor’s Degree with Coventry University.

An aspect I particularly valued in PSB Academy’s diploma curriculum was its practical and industry-relevant approach. My time as a student at PSB Academy has equipped me with practical skills essential for my career. PSB Academy and Coventry University provided me with a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and relevant industry knowledge. I honed my proficiency in financial analysis, utilising accounting software, and effective communication. Furthermore, the emphasis on teamwork and collaboration enhanced my interpersonal skills, providing me with valuable assets for the professional landscape.

Through the quality curriculum and patient academic staff, I was fortunate to secure a job shortly after graduating from Coventry University. It took me approximately 5 months to secure a job in my desired field. PSB Academy’s strong industry connections and career support services were instrumental in facilitating this transition. As an Accounts Officer at C&K International Finance, my responsibilities include managing accounts receivable and payable, preparing AR Aging reports, executing currency fund transfers, handling intercompany/staff reimbursements, and managing ad-hoc financial transactions. Additionally, I play a key role in liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve financial queries and provide financial advice.

Studying a diploma and degree in a private education institution in Singapore does not inherently put one at a disadvantage. On the contrary, private education institutions often offer advantages such as smaller class sizes, industry partnerships and a focus on practical skills development. My experience at PSB Academy and Coventry University has equipped me with the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to excel in my future career.
