Back in high school, I struggled with focusing and using the right methods to study which led me to be confused by some of the questions that were posed. Though my school life was fun, the tradeoff was that I had to face various pressures such as remembering mathematical equations, historical events, the location of countries on the world map, etc. Thankfully, I scored well for my O levels as I did not have any failures.

After graduating, I didn’t have a clear goal and was lost. I spent a year working part-time and another year reading English to figure out what I wanted. That’s when I recalled PSB Academy as my school had previously organised an education fair and my sister also graduated from the Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management at PSB Academy

I love photography and so I signed up for the Certificate in Media Communications and learnt a lot of new things. Upon completing the certificate, I decided to continue with the Diploma in Graphic Design and Media because I learn more things on the Adobe suite.

When I began on the Graphic Design course, I imagined the future pictures of myself in my mind. PSB Academy courses require a shorter amount of time to complete than other types of education, which can allow me to enter the workforce quicker to make money and achieve dreams.

My dream is simple. I just want to have a house, a little meadow, and a few dogs in a country with the four seasons when I retire.

My experience of learning at PSB Academy is great. PSB Academy has guided me through the dark. Previously, I was vague about the “design” aspect of matters but after learning about it, it opened my design thinking and technical knowledge about the Adobe suite, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effect and Cinema 4D, etc.

I enjoyed working on the professional project module as there were a lot of considerations such as the designer’s workflow, creating my own portfolio and also the difference between a resume and CV. I learnt to create a website by considering the page layout design and font type. I think that process is quite interesting. Moreover, Ms Alce has shared her experience with us, which I found very useful. I feel more confident about my future career path, I have my own goals and know exactly what I want to accomplish.
