Prior to enrolling into PSB Academy, I was pursuing my sport science diploma at another institution when their degree programme lapsed. While discussing my options with one of my lecturers, he introduced Edinburgh Napier University Sport Science Degree programme at PSB Academy. A big draw for me was the course duration. Due to my age, completing my degree as soon as possible was my priority as I wanted to specialise in either rehabilitation or physical education.

I have been in the sports fraternity for some time in South Africa; the course has exposed me to why we do what we do as coaches and sports professionals. I have picked up more practical experience, and my lecturers have been able to impart hard skills in the relatively short time that I’ve worked with them. The lecturers are experienced and knowledgeable, not just in their subject matter but also in the industry. Being able to ask them questions regarding our expectations after graduation has been invaluable. My classmates came from different backgrounds. Interacting with them has made my integration into Singapore much smoother, and their experiences have assisted in the practical sessions we have in class.

Singapore culture has many parallels with South African’s and being exposed to different viewpoints and interacting with other foreign languages has enriched my experience. Every interaction I have had with executives and administration staff at PSB Academy has been prompt, professional, and helpful.
