I started working in Sephora as a beauty advisor, but when Covid-19 hit, the retail industry was severely affected. My uncle, who works as a banker, inspired me to study business and pursue a similar career path as him.

I know PSB Academy while I was searching for IGCSE courses online. I visited a few institutions in Singapore, but they were not able to accept me because I did not have Credit for my IGCSE O-level.

The curriculum is flexible, and I still have spare time to do other activities to improve myself. The lecturers gave us the right amount of assignments, which helped me balance my study and personal time. Hence, I don’t feel too much pressure studying at PSB Academy. I used to not enjoy studying, but when I enrolled in PSB Academy, I found the joy in studying by meeting new friends and friendly staff too.

Some of the modules I learned include Financial Management, where I learn the principles and practices of financial management to make sound financial decisions, and Business ethics, where we learn how to apply ethical concepts to manage situations ethically.

Studying online is so much more convenient than going back to campus. One of the biggest reasons is watching the tutorial online via the system ‘Blackboard’. If I still have any questions regarding the lecture or tutorial, I can rewatch it during the weekends and make sure I know every detail of the topic and will not miss anything.

I’ve gained so much knowledge while studying at PSB Academy. I would definitely like to continue my degree with the academy after finishing my diploma.
