The University Of Newcastle, Australia (UON) stood out to me because the ranking of a business school matters to me.

What attracted me to choose the Bachelor of Commerce programme was the possibility of completing the programme 14 months after module exemptions based on my educational qualifications. This was quicker than the other degree programmes I was looking at.

The lessons were generally well-executed, and the lecturers were able to help students understand even abstract theories. Even though classes were conducted online due to Covid-19, I enjoyed the flexibility and could still focus on my studies. The programme allowed me to take four to five modules per term so that I could balance my time between studies and personal needs.

I have picked up technical knowledge such as book-keeping, budget allocation, and financial analysis. I was also grateful to join the UON student council as I gained transferable skills such as time management and public speaking.

Overall, this programme is time-friendly and provided me with an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and challenge my capabilities.
